REEL BUDDY fits the Penn Senator series from 3/0 to 9/0, the Penn Level Wind Series from 309 to 330, and many similar reels.

Because REEL BUDDY connects to the crank of the reel it is limited to use on reels that have a compatible crank. The face of the coupling on Reel Buddy has two pins that turn the crank of the reel. Both of these pins must be able to contact the crank,one on either side of the shaft of the reel.

Reels that have power handles (those that can be mounted on the reel in either of two positions) must have the handle mounted in the position with the shorter throw of the handle. This provides the needed length of crank for the pins to engage. See pictures below.
